Matting –is a thin, flat piece of paper-based acid free material included within a picture frame, which serves as additional decoration and to perform several other, more practical functions, such as separating the art from the glass. (we also offer, double and triple mats, and decorative mat cutting)
Dry Mounting -a process in which a print is bonded to a mount (ex. foam board or mat board) using a layer of adhesive in a hot press.
Acid Free and Museum Mounting – a process in which a print/original piece of art work is mounted to archival boards using the proper acid free tapes/tabs or appropiate mounting supplies.
Canvas Stretching/Stretcher Bars -Stretcher bars are used to construct a wooden frame in which a canvas is stretched around like a drum. Stretching is done with staples. Gallery wrapped canvases are stapled in the back leaving the sides clean.
Needle Point Stretching – Cross-stitched and needle point works are stretched firmly around an acid free board and pinned to keep the fabric straight.
Jersey Mounting – Clothing or fabric works are sewn through and on arrival mat and foam boards to hold them in place using similar threads that are used in the original piece.
Shadow Boxing – a deep frame/case with a protective transparent front, used for displaying jewelry, clothing, or any other other dimensional item.
Non Glare Glass – is reflective control glass. It has a slight frosted look and prevents light from heavily reflecting of its surface. (available in conservation glass)
Conservation Glass – is a clear glass that protects 99% of harmful UV rays from fading artworks (available in Non-Glare glass)
